Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
A cobra snake was discovered inside the lock-up of Madhuban Bapudham police station in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, creating chaos and panic among the staff on Thursday morning. The incident, captured in a viral video, showed the snake resting quietly near a heap of disposable cups, prompting swift action by forest department officials.
The snake was first noticed by a sweeper conducting routine cleaning at the police station. Forest department authorities were immediately alerted, and they swiftly arrived at the scene to safely capture and release the cobra back into the wild. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as the lock-up was unoccupied at the time of the incident.
This incident echoes a similar occurrence in Pune, where a venomous snake was found in a restaurant, triggering widespread concern about safety measures at public establishments.
